Brett Drinnan – Busbiz, a division of Swan Hill Buslines

I am the NSW Operations Manager at Busbiz, a division of Swan Hill Buslines and have been in the heavy vehicle and public transport sector for the best part of 35 years, having a small give year sabbatical in a family business managing body corporates in Melbourne.

Having moved to the Albury/Wodonga region in 2008, I quickly set about making myself a part of the local community. I became a member of the Wodonga Chamber of Commerce, as it was known back then, before rapidly taking up a role on the leadership Team, including two stints as President. I also sat on the Business Woman Albury Wodonga Committee and several other joint chamber committees.

As a result of my affiliation with the chambers it presented an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the business community as a whole, the pressures, the issues, the problems, and the incredible help and assistance offered by B2B. The business community is always willing to share and help. It certainly helped me along the way.

As a way of giving back, I feel privileged to be a Judge in the 2024 Optus Albury Wodonga Business Awards, a yearly event that highlights and celebrates the best of what we have in our region. It further strengthens and showcases what incredible businesses we have around us, not only locally or nationally but on an international scale. An achievement that should not be taken for granted nor underestimated. Our region boasts some of the best businesses in the land.
